Chocolate Hazelnut Cookies
Chocolate hazelnut cookies are the best of both world. It combines the decadent and creamy hazelnut spread with sprinkles of bittersweet chocolate chips in every bite of the cookie. I love it! I love hazelnut. Hazelnut is so rich and luscious. The flavor of hazelnut chocolate is so incredibly good. Now if you love the candy, Ferro Roche like me, than you'll love this chocolate hazelnut cookies. These chocolate hazelnut cookies bring out the smooth hazelnut that makes it so aromatic like the candy itself. What differs from the candy and the cookie, is the punch of chocolate that the chocolate hazelnut cookies have. Instead of using hazelnuts sprinkled throughout the cookies, I used bittersweet chocolate chips and lightly fold it so as you take each bite, the creamy and sweet hazelnut is calmed by the bitterness, yet sweet chocolate chips. After all, life is the best of both worlds, right?
Ingredients:
1 1/3 cups all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 stick butter
1/2 cup hazelnut spread
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 cups bittersweet chocolate chips
Steps:
1. In a medium, combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder together.
2. In another bowl, combine the butter, chocolate hazelnut, and sugars. Mix until smooth and creamy.
3. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixing. Mix well.
4. Stir in the flour mixture to the butter mixture. Mix well.
5. Add the chocolate chips until well combined.
6. Bake at 375 F for 10-12 minutes.
Tips and Notes:
* I strongly advised you to use Nutella chocolate hazelnut spread. This is highly recommended brand for better results.
* You do not have to use chocolate chips like I did. You can turn your cookies into candy by adding hazelnuts, just like the candy Ferro Roche.
